About Us

Leading a movement of courage and compassion.

Our Mission Statement

Healing Grief Matters

At Healing Grief Matters, we exist to transform how the world understands, supports, and heals from profound loss — not in the immediate aftermath, when support is abundant, but in the long middle, when it has faded, and the weight of grief becomes most real.

We believe:

^

Grief is not the end of the story.

It is the beginning of transformation — and transformation, when met with intention and community, becomes the most powerful force for healing a human being can experience.
^

Every heart, no matter how broken, carries the courage to heal.

And in that healing, the power to change not only their own life — but the lives of everyone who comes after them.
^

Silence, shame, and isolation are not the natural conditions of grief.

They are the result of a world that does not yet know how to hold it. We are changing that —through connection— one journal, one community, one witnessed story at a time.
^

Healing is not moving on.

It is moving forward — carrying the love, the memory, and the irreplaceable presence of those we have lost into a life that still has meaning, still has purpose, and still has room for joy.
^

Self-care is survival.

Compassion is understanding. Connection is medicine. And grief, when carried with intention and witnessed with love, becomes the most profound teacher a human being will ever have.
^

They do not live on in what was lost.

They live on in what we carry forward.

The Life of Stella Rose: A Journey of Staying

I’m Stella Rose— a mother of four, registered hospice nurse, grief educator, and the founder of Healing Grief Matters. For more than fifteen years, I’ve walked beside individuals and families at the edge of life, learning what grief really asks of us: not how to move on, but how to stay.

This work is personal. After burying my own son, everything I thought I knew about grief changed. I learned that loss doesn’t just hurt—it reshapes who we are, how we see the world, and how we live inside our own bodies. Grief isn’t something to “get over.” It’s love searching for a new way to live.

I’m a truth-seeker by nature, bringing a rare blend of raw honesty, spiritual depth, and unshakable compassion to every person and family I meet. Because no two journeys are the same, I work responsively—always researching and listening for the language, practices, and rhythms that fit your nervous system, your history, and your life. There are no one-size-fits-all answers; there is only the one that finds you.

Through storytelling, somatic guidance, and grief education, I help people calm the body and steady the mind—providing the practical tools to carry love forward without being consumed by the pain.

My mission is simple and radical: Finding a way forward is not a betrayal of those we love. It is how we stay connected without losing ourselves along the way.

Healing is not forgetting. It is learning how to stay.

With Much Love-
